Most of my work is software architecture: drawing service boundaries, designing data models and event flows, and writing the decisions down as ADRs.

What I build
- Event-driven systems on NATS JetStream, Kafka and Redis Streams: transactional outbox, idempotent consumers, dead-letter queues.
- Identity and security: OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, RBAC, audit logs and end-to-end encryption.
- Multi-tenant SaaS: tenant isolation in the data layer, plans and seats, per-tenant limits.
- Self-hosted and on-prem deploys with Docker and Kubernetes, monitored with Prometheus, Grafana and Sentry.

Backend Engineer | BortoCall
Algiers, on-site
Backend team on an end-to-end encrypted communication suite for organizations: chat, calls and identity.
- Co-led Bortocall ID, the OpenID Connect provider behind one login across the apps: org login policies, per-app roles, DPoP-bound tokens and a Go SDK.
- Worked on the messaging pipeline: each message is committed to every device inbox before the realtime push, so crashes and broker restarts lose nothing.
- Worked on end-to-end encryption (X3DH, MLS), device revocation, and call and message push (FCM, APNs).
- Built the workspace service and admin dashboards for plans, seats and support, and helped make the stack self-hostable on customers’ own servers.

Marketplace that connects clients with tradespeople across Algeria.
- Rebuilt search on Elasticsearch with French and Arabic matching and a multilingual embedding fallback: results matching every searched word went from 35% to 97%.
- Led a backend performance effort: N+1 queries removed, slow work moved to Celery, hot paths cached, about 20% less request time.
- Improved matching between client requests and tradespeople, and built KPI dashboards from production data.
- Built ban-evasion detection with a moderator review queue, set up Mixpanel analytics and designed the first A/B test.
